Football – Norway Eliteserien
Ham-Kam vs Molde
Ham-Kam continued their winning run with a 3:2 victory over Sarpsborg with 3:2 result. They were twice behind in the scoreline in the first halftime but managed to get back via goals from Melgavis and Eriksen. Also managed to open up the second halftime better and take the lead via Enkerud. The remaining of the match was spent with Sarpsborg having the initiative, and even though they were better, they failed to create really concrete chances with Ham-Kam again being rewarded for their fighting spirit. They should keep missing defender Dunn-Johnson (4/0) and midfielder Bjorlo (2/0).
Molde didn’t have their Eliteserien game last weekend, with the previous one being two weeks ago against Odd away from home. It ended as a 1:2 victory for them, simply by doing what is necessary and showing to be way more experienced without showing much on the field. It was their sixth consecutive victory, as the side now stands just two points behind the leaders from Lillestrom, but with a match less played as well. After that, they had two Cup matches, having won away to Brattvag 2:4 and Eidvold TF 1:4 last Wednesday. They used those matches to rotate and test for the upcoming Eliteserien games. Molde remains without defender Sinyan, midfielders Ellingsen, Haraldseid and forward Sigurdarson (1/0) – first three without performance this season anyway.
Far from a passive one
Molde enters this match as a favorite and there’s no doubt that they are closer to victory entering it and also a bit more relaxed. They have no problems scoring goals at all, while similar can be said for less quality, but still very combative Ham-Kam. The hosts are underdogs, but their fighting spirit should be obvious once again, with them definitely giving a hard time to Molde in front of their own fans.
